As John's spouse, I have been involved in the business of Augustine Financial since its inception. I currently serve as the Operations & Office Manager at the firm. My background includes a master's degree in social work from Hunter College in New York City and a BA from St. Olaf College in Minnesota. I started working part-time with John's financial services business when our youngest child, Jackie, began half-day kindergarten. Once I began working in our own business, meeting with people we love to work with, there was no turning back.
I have a deep appreciation for people who pursue what they love. As Ron Howard once said, "I'm getting paid to have an adventure," and I wholeheartedly share that sentiment with John. We both feel incredibly fortunate to do what we love every day. I also have a great admiration for generous people, and the clients we work with are some of the most generous, thoughtful, and caring individuals I know.
In the Augustine Financial office, I am often referred to as the "glue," wearing many hats and primarily focusing on human resources and insurance (and keeping John in line when I can!). When I'm not in the office, I love to travel but cherish my time at home in Milwaukee, where I can enjoy the beautiful view of Lake Michigan. I often find joy in sharing coffee or wine with friends, participating in book clubs, reading, watching Netflix, and spending time with my family.
I have several big life goals, including learning to play the piano and guitar, painting, writing children's books (with illustrations by Linda), enjoying time with grandchildren, and exploring more of Europe. John and I both feel incredibly blessed to work in a business that we created alongside our dedicated staff, and we are grateful for the opportunity to work with such wonderful clients.
